Valisa Murray ~ Founder and CEO
Valisa K. Murray is a mental health counselor with over 15 years of experience dedicated to helping individuals and families in the Detroit area find healing and renewed connection. She earned her BS in Psychology from Tennessee State University and her MA in Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary, where she developed a deep passion for guiding others through life’s practical and emotional challenges.

By founding Life and Truth Services, Valisa’s goal is to create a safe, supportive space for the community to explore life’s joys, wisdom, and complexities together. She is a devoted advocate for relationship education, believing that healthy connections—both with oneself and others—are the foundation of thriving families and communities.

Valisa’s expertise is backed by a Level 2 Gottman Method Couples Therapy certification and her role as an instructor for the Love Thinks PICK program. She also holds a Family Development Credential from the University of Connecticut, further enriching her mastery of family dynamics. Ultimately, every branch of Life and Truth Services is driven by Valisa’s vision: a peaceful, connected community equipped with the tools to not just survive, but to thrive.
